Therapeutic Massage Therapy
Therapeutic Intuitive Massage is a therapeutic stress releaser. Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy, reflexology, aromatherapy, and many times the other modalities are used in an integrated approach to help you and your muscles relax.
Each session is tailored to meet your special needs. A typical session can cover the full body or focus on a specific area. The session usually lasts a hour. Longer or shorter sessions can be arranged and may also depend of the type of modality being used in the session. At any time during the session, if anything becomes uncomfortable, please let Diane know. Pressure of the strokes should not go beyond the "hurts so good"; phase. If the pressure is too deep you will usually tend to tighten other areas of the body. Conversely, let her know if you would like more pressure. Your massage experience should be totally satisfying and communication is the key.
Massage aids the body's natural healing and cleansing abilities. Some people experience soreness, a mild headache, or a little nausea the day of or the day after a massage. This is due to your body releasing toxins. After a massage many people find it helpful to take a warm shower or bath and drink plenty of water.
